I started with the painting and weathering. I think I did a decent job of embroidering the designs only the mark. Luckily, my mother did a lot of sewing when I was growing up so I've learned my way around a sewing machine.

I have a duct tape dummy that I was using to hold the armor pieces together and check the fit and form. Once again, pretty basic shapes for the templates, the real work was cutting out all the trees! Got the whole chest plate assembled and strapped together! The details are cut from 2mm and 4mm craft foam and glued in place. The decorative chest plate was a pretty easy build. Trying on the under chest plate to make sure it fits right. Using the Destiny STL Generator I made some custom foam templates for each of the armor pieces. Got a silver base coat and it's time to relax! I cut off the bottom part with all the bristles and used a heat gun to bend the plastic to fit the curvature. Overall it took just under a month to build from start to finish.Įverything was done with EVA foam and craft foam and I started from the top down.īasic EVA foam building here using a template from Atom Bomb Studios.

I'd been planning on doing my Titan from the game wearing all Iron Banner gear since last winter, it coincided nicely with the latest expansion that they just announced. I finally forced some time for a project for myself this year to match the Sparrow I built last year from the video game Destiny. Due to a disagreement between them and the Vanguard, the Sunbreakers hate the Vanguard and Zavala in particular. It's been a couple years since I built a new costume for myself.
